In 2019, I had the opportunity to design some posters advertising a special kind of Catholic mass for the local Catholic group. This mass, known as a "Rorate Mass", is a mass in honor of the Virgin Mary for the season of Advent. It has a long tradition in the Catholic Church, especially in German-speaking areas. The Mass begins early in the morning when it was still dark, and so is said by candlelight.
The local Newman Center has hosted one for the past couple of years, and I thought I would help out be creating the posters you see above. Each one had a target audience, in which I used images and verbiage that I felt would most appeal to said audience.
