This was a full-scale, ground-up website build for New Age Equipment, completed during my time at Sandhills Global. I handled both the UI/UX design and front-end development — crafting the experience, mocking up the visuals, and building everything out in clean, responsive code. It was especially rewarding to help launch the business online, working closely with the client and sales rep to make sure the site aligned with both branding and real-world functionality.
Homepage Interaction & UI Logic
The top of the homepage features an interactive toggle for Equipment, Trucks, and Trailers. Selecting a category triggers smooth transitions: background, description, search field, and CTA all update dynamically. I used Chrome DevTools throughout development to refine animations and behavior until everything felt tight across devices.
Category Slider & Visual Layout
Lower on the page is a custom slider that highlights inventory categories like Dozers and Excavators. It’s based on a structured grid but includes slight offsets and shifts to add rhythm and avoid a rigid, templated look. The result is a clean layout with just enough movement to guide the eye naturally.
Services Page & Additional Sections
The Services page breaks down offerings like Maintenance, Repairs, and Fabrication into clear, modular blocks. I also built out the Contact, Inventory, and Request Service pages using a shared visual system for consistency. Elements were styled for readability, flow, and easy future updates.
Development Workflow
All front-end work was done in VS Code, with DevTools playing a big role in responsive tuning and real-time problem-solving. I constantly used it to test spacing, inspect layouts, and get everything behaving just right.
This project brought design and development together in a way that felt cohesive from start to finish — a full-spectrum build where every part served a purpose.
