This site was a custom build completed in 2023 while I was working as a UI/UX designer at Sandhills Global. I handled the full scope of design and front-end development, creating a clean, responsive experience for a client with deep roots in Ohio’s agricultural community.
Purpose-Driven Layout & Messaging
American Equipment Service is a family-owned dealership known for sales, parts, and service. The homepage leads with this identity and follows with direct, accessible calls to action. The visual language uses sharp diagonals, bright tones contrasted with dark secondary colors, and bold typography to echo the grit and reliability of their brand.

Intentional Grid Use & Brand Presentation
I used structured grids in areas like the “Our Brands” section to organize content cleanly without making it feel rigid. Each brand is shown in a simple card layout with clear links to in-stock and new models. It’s a flexible system that works just as well on mobile as it does on desktop.
Responsiveness & Accessibility
Each page was structured to scale across screen sizes without sacrificing readability or flow. Clear, high-contrast calls to action appear throughout, from product carousels to location-based contact info. I carefully designed and tested form interactions to ensure accessibility and ease of use.
Code-First Development
This site was built from the ground up — no CMS, no template, no framework. Just HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. That gave me full control over performance, layout behavior, and maintenance. I leaned heavily on DevTools for precision work and kept the codebase modular and easy to update.
